Hello All

We don?t normally send out interim releases for beta testing, however this version has a major improvement that we feel greatly enhances the product: application monitoring and activity logging. Because of this we would like to ask for beta testers to make sure the program still functions normally in different school networked environments.

If anyone would like to help beta test this version, please send me e-mail directly giving your full name and LMS account details.

Thanks for all your continued support.

Andy

What's new
1: New Application Monitoring Feature added. All running applications on remote computers are shown in the tutor control program as icons. By right-clicking on one of these icons, you can remotely close that application or apply a temporary application block to it.

2: Enhanced logging policy added. You can now add a 'Logging' policy to log remote activities - login, logoff, application launch, close and web pages visited. (See 'Policy Manager' and add an 'Enable Logging' policy)

3: New Log File Viewer has been created for analysing remote log file data. (See 'Policies' - 'View Log file' )

4: You can Sort, filter and export the log data to Excel

5: You can now Import/Export policies for transferring to other AB tutor Control installations. (See 'Policy Manager' )

6: Fixed a bug when accessing remote files located on network drives.

7: Fixed problems with connecting to our LMS server for license validation. (Proxy/filter servers can cause problems)

8: You can now select the method for 'Finding' clients with the option of searching through a network Broadcast or via Multicast. (See 'Tools' - 'Settings' - 'Network' ) See also the User Guide for more detailed explanation on this.

9: Fixed bug with Registry Policies not working in 4.2.

10: The Lockout command now allows the Ctrl+Alt+Del command to be sent from the tutor program but not by the remote user.

11: Added function to 'Show' both monitors if dual monitors are being used on the tutor machine (Defaults to just showing the primary monitor)

12: Fixed problem when running on Windows 2003 servers where an 'access forbidden' error message was displayed.

13: Added an 'Import' button to the Web Filtering Policy to import multiple entries at once.

14: Block Internet policy is stopped when a user logs off. This is to prevent problems when applying GPOs during user login.

15: Added advanced setting option page to set an 'Apply Policy' delay when a user logs in. This is again to solve problems with applying GPOs or running login scripts. You can also control the frequency of network broadcasts by the clients and also the frequency of refreshing the status of a remote client. (To access this 'Advance' settings page, select the 'Tools' menu, press and hold the Ctrl key and select 'Settings' )

I'd like to beta test, but your email address is listed as private so I can not send you an e-mail.

You asked for the email to be sent direct, so could you please advise where I should send the mail?
