when I watch a computer and try to log on that computer nothing happens. but then also after trying to take over the computer and nothing happened I then go to the computer its self and try to log on the computer and press CTRL ALT and DELETE on the keyboard to logon but nothing happens. its like its blocked. I can press the NUM LOCK button and the light comes on and the mouse moves, so everything is working just not CTRL ALT and DELETE until I restart the computer then it is fine. _________________ F Castellano |

Sorry, this was a bug introduced into version 4.4. Please update to version 4.5.
You will need to update all your clients.
- Download and install the update to a Tutor Control machine
- Connect to all your client machines
- Select 'Tools' - 'Client Maintenance'
- Select 'Check for Older Client Programs' and press OK
- Press the 'Update' button to force the clients to update to version 4.5
Version 4.5 also fixes a bug with Web Blocking Policies when there are restricted access rights users logged on.

thanks i have updated to 4.5 but it wont let me look at all my clients. i havnt tried to see if the logon to the computer is working.
i have just updated my tutor computer to the new verison of ab tutor 4.5. when you click on find clients and all clients it dont bring any computers up. it gives me an ERROR messgae (the abclient program is currently running on this computer and you are not authorised to close it. the find computers may fail when scanning your network for remote workstations.)
warnign (unable to listen for client broadcasts, please make sure the client program is not running on this machine.)
how do i make sure it is not running on this machine?
thanks

How did you update? Download the MSI and install over current version or did you do a 'Check for Updates' from the Tutor program and updated that way?
For the AB Tutor Control to scan and find remote client machines, the Client program must not be running on that machine. When you launch AB Tutor Control it detects that the client is running and asks you if you want to close it. For security reasons you cannot close the client program if you are not authorised to do so. Authorisation is done by checking the connection password assigned to the Client program is the same as the connection password in the Tutor program, if they are not the same then you will get this message.
Please enter your normal Connection password into the Tutor Control program (See 'Tools' - 'Connection Password'), close and re-launch the tutor program. If you still get this warning message, then you have not set the correct connection password. Try to find the actual Connection password assigned to the machine or you may need to completely, de-install and re-install both Client and Tutor Programs and set the correct connections password (Do not re-install and leave the Connection password blank)
