|
Hello,
I was wondering if upgrading to a gigabit network would improve screen refresh performance on the client during a demo session? I am using the mirror driver and 16-bit color. Updates are fine when demonstrating 2d applications, but it becomes quite slow when demonstrating 3d apps.
cheers,

Faster networks will always improve performance just like faster processors, more memory and good graphics cards. I believe to get the best performance in a 'Show' command, the machine doing the show needs to be a high spec one (processor and memory) with a very good graphics card.
Don't forget that the higher your screen size and colour depth, the more information will need to be 'grabbed', compressed and sent to the remote machine where it's decompressed and displayed. AB Tutor will detect changes and only send what’s changed, so if your entire screen changes regularly, then that results an a lot of work for both machines and network.
I hope this help.
