I find that when I have a student in watch mode and I lockout so that I can take over their screen. The student can break the lockout by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Del and then cancelling the action. This then allows the student to continue. Is this a normal or is our system at fault?

Mine haven't worked that out yet, but they have found that the MS Start key on the keyboard can break them out of the Lock screen by providing access to the Start Menu.

We have 3.10 loaded on the client machines and the student can still break out. I go into watch mode, then lockout so that I can take over their screen. The student presses Ctrl+alt+del, then cancels, they have control back. we are running windows 2000 nt.

Yes, you can break out of the ?Watch/Lockout? command, but this was not meant to be a full ?hard? lock, just a quick way to stop the student interfering while you helped them out.
We will investigate how to block the Ctrl-Alt-Del command in this mode.
The lock applied to the normal ?Lock? and ?Show? commands are full hard locks that cannot be broken out of by the student.
