I'd like a message box to appear on the logon screen if the computer's LAN cable is unplugged, or even better, if selected server IP's can't be pinged. The message box would then need to reappear every 30seconds or so, until the connection is restored.
At the moment, messages like Domain Unavailable leaves most of our users clueless as to the fact that some little toad has pulled the LAN cable from the wall socket.
A over-ride rule to exclude laptops based by computer name would be handy too. eg: Apply to all machines expect those with computer names starting with Lap* etc.
