| I found out about AB Tutor quite by accident at an Oracle Training Session in Los Angeles, CA in July 2004. As a Technology Specialist with Chesterfield County School District in SC, I was constantly on the look out for programs that would allow teachers to take control of student workstations, to demonstrate from teacher station, view student activity, etc. Most programs were very expensive, and some demos that we tried proved to be unstable. We started out with AB Tutor in a high school business education lab and fell in love immediately. I was skeptical at first because I thought that it might be an inferior product as compared to the others on the market. I was pleasantly surprised and so were all of our computer lab instructors. We now have it installed in all of our high school and middle schools. As a side note, I am asked to give technology presentations in my state, and I share our knowledge about AB Tutor. I tell my audience that finding out about AB Tutor will be worth their trip! |

very cool...!
All schools or any business with a sizeable network should deploy this program if not for tutors to use, then at least for the network manager to assist with daily network control. I used ABTC to find a problem in my network consisting of 5 seperate buildings and 300 pc's and stuck in a loop. because i use naming conventions for each room, i could see what pc was on or off at a glance, when i could not find a computer via ABTC and going to the physical location of the machine, i noticed it's ethernet cable had been unplugged and placed into a point on the wall. This automatically forces the router into block mode and the internet was not available to the entire network. This could have taken a considerable amount of time to just to locate the problem. With a bit of common sense ABTC allowed me to quickly to stock take my pc's and fortunately the one that was missing was where the problem was, lucky for me, thanks to ABTC, saved me a lot of stress related panic attacks. Highly Recommended..thank you for developing a product that works to expectation.. |
