Would be nice to not only have direct connect to IP; BUT rather an additional abilty to add a network range of IPs or even 100.100.*.* (asterisks) within a domain.

I too would love to see this as an option. I have computers spread out across 13 different physical buildings and more than 50 different subnets, it's just not feasable to use multicast in our environment.
