I'd really like to see a switch that could be used in conjunction with the -g switch to prevent users from browsing through groups from the Find option.
The reason for this is that all my IT rooms/suites are sorted into their own OUs which generally reflect the physical layout. Eg
Block A
Room 1
Room 2
I've named the ABTC groups the same name as the OUs. I've written a script that will get the OU that the computer is in (ie Room 2) and execute ABControl with the OU as the parameter for the -g switch (ie abcontrol.exe -c -g "Room 2"). This means that the user gets logged straight into the correct room.
They can however click find and browse to another room. I know I could password protect each group with a different password, but this will just make the solution less user friendly. |
