This is not a major release, but mainly fixes a few bugs. If you are not affected by any of these problems, then you do not need to update.

Please download the full install from our web site or select 'Tools' - 'Check for Updates' from your existing AB Tutor Control program.

If anyone experiences any problems with this version, please e-mail me directly and we will endeavour to solve them as quickly as possible.

1: The 'Lockout' command during a Watch cannot be cancel by the remote user by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del.

2: The full 'Lock' command now acts like a policy in that if applied ?Permanently?, it will be re-applied if the student powers off and then switches back on. (See 'Tools' - 'Settings' - 'Lock Message' tab enable this option)
WARNING: Use this option with care! Imaging the situation were you set a permanent lock, the student powers off the machine and walks away. You now unlock the other machines and close the Tutor Program. The next time the machine that was prematurely closed is rebooted, the Lock will get applied and the machine will be rendered useless until a Tutor Program once again connects and removes the Lock.

3: Fixed a bug when policies were applied whilst the students are logged off. When they logon again, there normal GPO policies would not get set correctly.

4: Fixed bug when a connection is lost during a multiple 'Watch' command. Mouse commands to other views in the grid would be disabled.

5: Under certain circumstances, the 'Show' windows would not appear on the remote machines whilst the students were logged on.

6: When a Student requests ?Help? (via the Privacy Policy icon in the system tray), their computer is selected by default in the Tutor's Chat window so you can reply immediately without the need to select their machine from the list.

If anyone has any further suggestions/enhancements please let me know.

Thanks for your continued support,

Andy

Is there any likelyhood of AB Tutor working in a terminal services / thin client environment? I know it currently doesn't however Netop want ?300 per gateway license per terminal server for clients (on top of the per client license).

Edit
Is there an MSI installer I can use to upgrade the clients / Tutors in a windows domain?
Found this when I logon at abtutorcontrol.com

Thanks
Graeme

After upgrading to 4.2 the user column only shows the users logon name which is usually in brackets after the full display name.

Most don't work properly, the occasional one will work showing the full display name and then the users log on name in brackets.

Is there a new / updated driver for the display in this release?

I have around 150 computers asking to install a "Display" at logon now, with the Found new hardware wizard.
