I cant get control over the wildcards. What must I do to block for instance these 3 websites?
www.msn.nl and www.msn.be and www.msn.cam ?
I have tried www.msn.*, * msn* etc. It wont work.

Make sure you only add 1 wildcard entry at a time.
Multiple wildcards separated by a comma will not work.

e.g. I just entered *msn* only and that blocked all web sites with msn in the name.

You may say that but there are plenty of other filters that can easily be put in place to block websites...

I use a 3 layer system with AB Control being the first line which is used for a straight block of internet access.
